Raven Mage Born in Xetesk to a mage family, there was never any doubt where Denser's future lay. He displayed aptitude from age five and was inducted into the college on his tenth birthday, when full awakening was considered an acceptable risk. Always a maverick, Denser made few friends in the upper echelons of the college and refused to take a 'y' into his name, as was traditional among Xeteskian mages; ignoring the politics of the masters' 'Xetesk-alone, Xetesk-dominant' views. But the college couldn't deny his talent and nurtured his efficient casting method and quick research mind. His direction was fixed when his parents were killed during an experiment into dimensional connectivity. Led to believe it was a pure accident, he discovered they were searching for the elements of the ultimate spell, Dawnthief. Demanding he be moved to the project, Denser dedicated his life to studying every piece of information about the spell. Theory, casting papers and lore - there was nothing he didn't know bar the identity of the catalysts. Travelling to one particular dimension was thought the best opportunity. Trying had killed his parents; Denser had another theory - all he had to do was wait. Dawnthief charts the events when the waiting is over. |
